Index & Remix
A participatory writing system that deconstructs submitted texts into fragments and reassembles them based on frequency and probability. It produces an evolving stream of recombined language where individual voices dissolve and reappear, meanings deteriorate and reform.
Index & Remix invites participants to respond to prompts on cards and submit them into a transparent box.

Working alongside two “data entry clerks,” the artist collects and transcribes the cards, then processes them live through an algorithm that fragments and reassembles the texts based on frequency and probability.
Submitted texts are used as readymade materials and made into an evolving stream of recombined language. Meanings deteriorate and reform. Individual voices dissolve into shifting patterns of collective expression.
