Cluster of Stars

This interactive installation uses a Kinect camera to capture the moves of performers and projects two versions of the performers' silhouettes onto a background of smoke. The two silhouettes, made of clusters of stars, are one-second apart in time, showing both the present time and the moment right before.

Created for live performances involving movements, this interactive installation uses a Kinect camera to capture the moves of performers and projects two versions of the performers’ silhouettes onto a background of smoke. The two silhouettes, made of clusters of stars, are one-second apart in time, showing both the present time and the moment right before. The projected image is a duo, one half always trying to catch up with the other. History is retained, but only for a brief second.
